Detection Angle?

What is detection angle, and how does it work? If I have a POI file that does not have this data will it effect anything?

What is detection angle, and how does it work? If I have a POI file that does not have this data will it effect anything?
Let's see......
The detection angle is not IN the POI file. It is an option you set after the file is loaded into the GPS.
It goes along with an "alert" you set, also after the file is IN the GPS. It defines how wide the "cone" is where it looks for the POIs to alert on.
Detection angle is meaningless unless and until you activate an alert.
