FM Traffic vs. MSN Traffic in Atlanta

I have a Nuvi 760 which came with the FM traffic receiver. The trial subscription will expire sometime in 6 or 8 weeks. The FM receiver seems to work however I nothing to compare it to. The unit shows me major incidences around Atlanta as well as slow traffic. Here's the dilemma. Should I spend $60 to renew my FM subscription or should I spend a little more and try the MSN content which I understand comes with a 15 month trial? Has anyone had experience with either in the Atlanta metro area (north east)?

Garmin Nuvi 760

I can't speak for Atlanta,

I can't speak for Atlanta, but here in Baltimore, my choice is the MSN service.

I've got both the 660(FM) and the 680(MSN). And believe me, the traffic info on the 680 is so much better, it makes me want to trash the 660 and get another 680.

To Add To Your Confusion

Garmin is rumored to be releasing a lifetime FM traffic subscription in the next few weeks. Possibly when they roll out the 7x5 series. So that may influence your decision.

Accuracy and Coverage?

How accurate is either with Atlanta traffic?

Atlanta traffic is so bad and so widespread, it doesn't take much to foul it up on a section of Interstate and the nearby surface streets.

I've gotten to the point in Atlanta where I commute using neighborhood streets and other non-highway/intestate roads. It adds 3-4 miles each way, but the ride is much more peaceful for sure.

Does the traffic on Garmin cover all roads or just major Interstates? For me, Highway 78, Ronald Regan Parkway, and Highway 316 are essential. The best I have now is a 15 minute delay in traffic updates with Google Maps on my Treo phone.
