Watch out in Orlando, FL

They have added 10 cameras in 7 locations. In the past 14 days the have ticketed 1100. That's over 75 a day @ $125 per. Guess they won't have to raise taxes after all. wink

I live and drive in Orlando and welcome the red light cameras. Frankly I don't understand why anyone, except those caught, would have a problem with catching the red light runners.

The red light runners I have noticed have gone into the intersection well after the light is red. Sometimes 3-4 cars at a time.

First off I don't run red lights!

Gosh This is easy one.
Spend your money at a local Amusement Area, and stay out of central Florida, that will get them in the pocket, and then yes they will have to raise your taxes. smile

Just don't spend your money in Orlando for vacation, go anywhere but Orlando In my opntion thats just adding insult to injury, when your there already spending thousands and thousands of dollars to entertain your family, I really think Mickey Mouse should have a patch on his eye and a hook for a hand anyway and be the main attraction at the pirate ride.
It's not that city doesn't make enough off visitors (i.e. Hotel Bed Tax's, Amusement park Taxes Sales Taxes etc.).

How dare Orlando Rape the visitors to it's city even farther than they all ready are. The streets are bumper to bumper nightmares, no wonder people try to push through intersections four at time.

And you saying they want to raise your taxes
Your Kidding right, you voted these boobs in office?

They chose to raise the property-tax rate from $4.93 per $1,000 of taxable value to $5.65, a 14.6 percent increase. Budget officials say that 70 percent of Orlando's homeowners will still pay less in city taxes next year than they did this year. That's because Floridians voted to lower taxes by doubling the homestead exemption, and because the assessed value of the average home has declined.

What's the big deal, you don't pay State payroll taxes like the rest of us anyway, just consider it the price of living among the hurricanes and paridise smile

Just Boycott Orlando for Vacations, the price of gas is to high anyway.
