MSN Direct receiver question

I have a Nuvi 780 and it seems like it takes the MSN direct reciever forever to load the gas stations names and addresses when I look them up on my GPS. I have the MSN Direct subscription. I was wondering does anyone else have this same problem.

Mine come up quickly

I have a 760 with the MSN receiver and they come up as quickly as all the other POI's. If there are none close to you, it might take longer. How close are the closest ones when it does display them?

When I first start up mu GPS

When I first start up mu GPS it takes a few moments to load the names, but when it is up and running, no issues.

MSN Direct on my 750.

There are days when my Gas Prices will display Unknown for name and it can take an hour until that clears up. Everything else seems to update quickly. Keep in mind that when I hit the Service Status, I have full green bars.

I have the same issue

I too have the same issue. Everthings else loads up faster, but gas prices can take a very long time.

What I have found

I park my van in the garage, so I can leave the unit on the dash without the fear of it being stolen. If I leave it plugged in all night, then the data is instant and current when I leave in the morning. You don't have to have the unit on, just plugged in. On my c580 the data is instant. This is in wichita ks, so I am sure there is less data than in larger cities.

Works great for me.
