Maximizing Nuvi 350 battery lifetime

With some batteries it lengthens battery lifetime if you let them discharge almost totally before recharging. Does this apply to the Nuvi 350 ?

If it's better to let the 350 discharge substantially before recharging, how many bars on the charge indicator should be remaining before one recharges ?

Also, related question, is it okay to leave the 350 plugged into the car charger all the time ?

Will 'preciate info on these points.

The battery in the nuvi should not be discharged totally..

And it won't damage the battery leaving it plugged into the car charger all the time...

There has been a lot of discussion on these subjects try doing a search for batteries at the top of this page...

For a short answer... Nope,

For a short answer...

Nope, only NiCad batteries you have to let drain so they don't retain a "memory". LiIon batteries don't need to be.

Like the above said, leaving it charging all the time is fine.

I have noticed that sometimes it will tell you recharge before it dies, and sometimes it doesn't. Haven't figured that one out yet.

Try not to leave your Nuvi

Try not to leave your Nuvi in a hot car. High temperatures will shorten the battery life significantly.
