Nuvi 660 help (never connects to satellites)

Turned off and unplugged my Nuvi 660 last night while I was stopped for a while. Got the Nuvi back out and turned it on and it loads up and says updating GPS software for a few seconds and then loads like normal. Only problem is that it never connects to any satellites nor shows any satellites that it is trying to connect to. Also it will only power up when it is plugged in. Will not power on while unplugged like it did before.
Any one have any ideas about what could be wrong?

Thanks,
Bill

Reset

I don't know about your other problems, but the reset button is under the antenna ( top middle).

NUVI 660

It may be caused by a weak battery or undercharged battery. I would charge it for 4 hours and test it again. Then try the hard reset.

No charge

The unit doesn't seem to be charging and the satellite search never comes up like it is trying to connect to any satellites. I have done a hard reset. Checked the fuse in Maint. mode. no go.
Any other ideas other then waiting until Tuesday to call Garmin?

Try charing it from the

Try charing it from the computer rather then the cig lighter. It has been reported if the charge level is too low, then it won't charge via the cig lighter. Of course, now thinking about it, if you can see the GPSr on, that probably isn't your issue. But see if the charging problem is from the cig lighter by doing it thru the computer.
