AData microSDHC 8gb class 6 card

After much searching for the high capacity clsss 6 microSDHC card online, I found the Adata card. After I run the latest update to my Nuvi 880 software, I will plug the card in. Then I can add as many POI files, and maps, as I want. I will even get a few of the Audible.com books for the GPSr!

I do not have much music as MP3, so perhaps I can download a bit of that. When tried to copy some MP3 music from my laptop to the card, it said I could not copy it, that I did not have a license for that. Do you think I should instead CUT/PASTE the music? I have the original PURCHASED CDs so I don't see why I cannot. Is there something in my antivirus software that prevents it, and if so, can I change it? I use Trend pc-Cillin.

.

If you're using Window's Media Player then I suspect this is a digital rights management problem. Can you provide more info on your OS and software?

I formatted the Micro SD card and everything then worked fine. For some reason I think I had that "it said I could not copy it, that I did not have a license for that" warning too.

I have the MP3s playing now. I had to authorize WMP to aquire the license, don't know how it was done, but it happened. I was using the SOUND TAXI PLATINUM for the first time, and I went through a couple of times converting the files before I realized I had to load the MP3s into a folder for Media I'd created on the microSDHC card. Then Sound Taxi put the converted songs directly into that folder. I unplugged the Garmin from the computer, reattached it to the power cord, and went to my music player. There they were!!! And I have them playing as we speak. My plan is to load the songs beloved by my husband, so he will like my toy better. grin

If I have to go back and reformat, I will do so. Those songs are all that I have on the card. I did put the Garmin software update on there and when it uploaded to the unit, it moved it into its proper location with no help from me.

I have yet to upload any maps. I will pray over that before I do it. laugh out loud
