Seeing POI on screen of 200w

I have a 200W and can not see any POI on screen while I am driving. I read somewhere that you have to be in 2D mode and zoomed in quite a bit. But, even then, I don't see any. If I touch the map and drag to a new location, the POI all show on screen, but if I select one it tries to direct me to that location. Am I doing something wrong?! Thanks!

It's a feature...

I'm not familiar with the 200 series, but I had the same issue with my 780. My old 650 did show all the POIs when in 2D and zoomed in, but the 780 did not. Garmin support stated that they removed the POI icons to reduce screen clutter and to speed up screen drawing in the 700 series. I'm guessing they did the same for the 200 series as well.

Like you have noticed, you can view them in browse mode.

Thanks for the info...

After browsing around this site and some others, I see that you are correct. The more I think about it, the more it makes sense. Searching for a specific POI is pretty easy using the menus. The icons are so small on the screen, it is hard to tell what is what. If you need to find a gas station, it is easier to just search for them insted of having to try to decipher the icons and as someone pointed out, you need to use a stylus to even pick them off of the maps.

Again, thanks!
