A drive through the English Lake District - courtesy of Garmin

I was browsing through the UK part of the Garmin web site and came across some downloadable routes for "Great British Drives". I'm not sure I agree with all their choices, but the mini-site has some in-car video footage that you might like.

(It's from drive #1 - Keswick to Lake Windermere).

Initially there's a motorcycle visible up ahead, but it soon leaves the car for dead.

That's my sort of road...

Ah yes

Spent a very enjoyable 3 days in Keswick during a vacation (or holiday) to the UK in 1986.
It was interesting as one of the presentations put on while we were there was a slide show of the Lakes Region of New Hampshire (where we were from at the time) put on by the Tourist Bureau of the Lakes Region of England.
Lovely country and beautiful drive !
Unfortunately no GPSs back then but I did drive rather well on the wrong side.
