Hello all,
I downloaded several POIs from here and upload to my unit. Now, let's say that I keep uploading the sames POIs over and over to my unit, will the POIs on my units be replaced or POILoader will just keep appending them? Just curious...
Replaced
Every time you run POILoader the file is replaced. No updates or appends are performed.

Make sure
You need to have a folder with all the files you want on your gps. When an update happens or you want to change, you can just update that file in your folders and reload to your gps.
There are several different methods to do this, and you can search the archieves for others, but this is what I do.
I have a folder, c580 (different ones for each gps) and then set up sub folders for food, restareas, stores etc. Say I want to go to a different city or something, then I upload special for that trip.
The one thing to remember is that every time you run the poi loader it will wipe everything that is on the unit out and replace it with what is loaded...so if you are only wanting to update one file, you still have load everything else as well.

POI to SD CArd
I have a Garmin 200w and have been told I can load POIs to the SD Card using POI Loader. Anyone know how exactly I would go about doing this?
I usually select the Save Option of "Garmin Device" which does seem to give me that option. Would I use "Custom Folder" instead?

Please don't ask a question in another's thread. It is always better to start your own.
But, the answer to your question is to select the drive from the drop down menu on POILoader (make sure you have an SD card in the slot on your Nuvi). Just click the arrow in the window that indicates the Garmin and you should see it listed.
