Has anyone, had traffic antenna problems?

Has anyone had a problem lately with their traffic antenna on a c550 just stopping? Garmin told me this morning they are having problems with them, they tech gave me a RMA and a free year of service on top of the running subscription, and will nextday a new one to me.

Have you been to another area with the service? Case in point - When I went to Nashville the other weekend, I was able to get traffic data in Birmingham but not in Nashville, when I had traffic data in these locations two weeks prior to that.
My guess is that the FM xmitter may have been down for service or upgrade in Nashville and may be the same in your case if you have not been out of your area.
Anyway - it sounds like you made out in the deal.

No I haven't been out of the Cleveland area lately, the GTM 20 just pooped out, it won't go green it just wonders between amber and red. also the traffic icon has disappeared from the c550 screen as well. Your right about making out on the deal, I just renewed my subscription a week ago, so now I have two years of service.
It always amazes me how some techs go the extra mile, and do what ever it takes to make you happy and others, well I won't say anything about them right now, because I'm a happy camper at the moment.

Bob - I agree! One can only hope to get one of these types when they call in.
BTW: I'm from the Cleveland OH area - I have been in AL for almost 2 yrs and I'm trying to get back there.
