Check to be sure that the maps are selected on the unit. Typically, this is done by going to Settings/Wrench > Map > Map Info and be sure the check box next to the maps is checked.

Also, how did you load them?

Can you confirm the the GMAPSUPP.IMG file is actually on the card?

And lastly, if they are on the card and you loaded them properly from MapSource and they are selected, are you sure that the unit isn't seeing them?

What happens if you pan the map over to an area covered by the map (with the antenna turned off) and zoom in to the local streets? Do they show up?

Europe Map

Did you look and see if the check box is checked under settings/maps on the nuvi? Also, since you bought the 4GB card, I am assuming you had the Europe Maps DVD loaded to the computer. You would have either had to have had your nuvi connected during this process or typed in the serial number since the Europe DVD will be locked to the particular nuvi and can't be used with another. If you typed the serial number in, check that it was correct.

Nuvi 350 sd maps

I have not checked the sd card for the files and when I go to Settings/Wrench > Map > Map Info there is not a check box for the city navigator europe. I do not even see it. I will check again and get back with you all. I used MapInstaller not Mapsource.

The Nuvi will only list one

The Nuvi will only list one entry on the Map Info page for each mapping product even when parts of that mapping product are installed on both the internal and SD memory. It presents a "unified" picture for each mapping product although I've seen pieces listed separately with only one checkbox to enable/disable all the parts of that mapping product.

If you had North America NT maps installed on the internal memory and installed the European maps on the SD, you should see separate and individually enable capability on the Map Info page.

Just make sure the new mapping product is fully unlocked and you can see the map detail in Mapsource before writing them to the SD card.

BTW, I found SD card writes about 6x faster when I used a SD card interface than when I wrote the card while it was in the Nuvi. The Nuvi USB/flash interface is s..l..o..w..!!!

SD Card too large?

Manual states up to 2gb.

Just a thought.

Hmmm ... is that how the disk indicates to install them? Typically, maps are installed into MapSource and then sent to the device or the card from MapSource. But maybe these are different.
