POI for Hockey Shops???

I started to maintain the Massachusetts and Southern NH hockey rink POI that was started by another member.

As part of taking it over, I did start to put in hockey shops but I decided so as not to dilute the original POI idea too much, I would only include shops that

A) were not a pro shop already attached to a rink listed (so shops had to be independent of a rink). I started to add notes to rinks if that have Pro Shops & Snack bars.

B) the shop must offer skate sharpening. To me this makes it a hockey shop, even if they sell other sporting goods. If they sharpen skates then they probably know their hockey equipment vs general sporting good stores that happen to sell a few stick located in a far corner.

But based on that I have only added three shops so far.

Well, I started POI for hockey shops in the Midwest, but also included Pure Hockey shops in MA. I also added Pro Shops attached to rinks here in KY and TN, that I know of.

You didn't mention if you want input from members here. If so, let me know how you want the info and I'll put a list together of shops in Michigan...

tj, I have the Perani's shops on my file too, but I'm sure you have some other local shops. I have about 20 or so shops and rinks with Pro Shops around OH, KY and TN. I'm sure there's others. If a group of us want to start one for the whole US, I can gather all the addresses and post them if there's interest. TIA for your help.

Are you going to make a Magellan POI? Can you translate one of the CSV to a magellan?

Let me know if you want a CSV format of my file. That's all I have and not sure if this is Magellan's format.

Plug the csv into Megellan POI File Editor and it spits out the mgln file.

Well, like the subject says....his post mentioned if I was going to post it in CSV....stupid me..didn't even see it.
