TMC Traffic

I can't seem to locate anyplace that describes what is an included funtion of the 760 and what is TMC. For example, when I am driving
are speed limits on the highway, 760 or TMC
is elevation, 760 or TMC
Basically, what I am trying to figure out before I have to make a decision is what comes with TMC as opposed to just the functions of the 760.
TMC
the power cable to the nuvi 760 is also your FM traffic receiver/antenna and what you see on your screen is a square box on the left side of the screen that posts the speed limit of the highway
say 55.
on the lower right you will see a smaller yellow triangle that may show at times with say 05 [ 5 min delay dute to traffic]
i personlly prefer MSN, because i get the same info as TMC plus extras: weather, gas prices, movies, local events, stock prices.

The search function is very powerful, if you had typed

I have the 760 and while I'm a rather newbie GPS'er I am fairly technologically savvy. My understanding is that the speed limit postings and elevation is the 760 - TMC does not contribute to those items.
TMC gets traffic information and the 760, with that information, shows you where the traffic delays are occurring & routes you around them if you want it to do so.
I was a recent trip from MA to PA and traffic issues arose. The TMC warning sign grew to a 2 Hr delay on the route. However together the traffic information and the 760 rerouting function re-routed me automatically and saved me almost the entire 2 hrs.
I originally didn't think that I would renew the TMC after the free 60 days but after the situation that I just described I'm definately going to re-up.
Having said that, be sure to check the TMC coverage in your area before you spend any money.
