Streetpilot 580 with 550 firmware

Is this common for streetpilots to have firmware loaded from another device. I just updated my 580 and it said it has the 550 firmware on it. Everything seems to be working fine just thought it was a little weird.

this is what mine also stated , i was assured that it is fine no worries, it works great for me !
