Trip to Oregon/Idaho/Utah (POIs?)

I'm just packing for my 10 day road trip through Northern Utah, Idaho (East to West), and Oregon (East to West along the North, then to SouthCentral, then East back to Idaho through to Northern Utah again).

This will be my FIRST GPS Road trip ever!

Are there any great POIs that you can suggest, which you consider to be (Must Haves) for road travel through these states, along this path?

I'm open to Suggestions!! Thanks guys. smile

I'd suggest pois for fast food places, rest stops and redlight camera. Other pois would depend on your interest such as national parks.

I would download the National Parks and visit everyone you can especially in Utah.I have done two cross country trips by car and you will get to see some beautiful scenery.Make sure to purchase the National Park yearly pass.It allows you to enter all the Parks with that one pass for free.My wife and I have plans to go back across country one more time and Utah is on the list to re-visit.

I would use the rest stops, and if you are staying in utah I would use the campgroung poi's if you are traveling by motor home or pulling a trailer. Attractions and places to eat for each state. There are no red light camera listed for utah but could be for the other two states.

Also try...

Do a search on this site for the state names that you are going to visit first. You will come up with all sorts of ideas, such as what is listed below by doing a search for OREGON. (PS: Dont leave out the Columbia River Gorge on highway 84 east from Portland, there are many good waterfalls roadside that you can enjoy.)
