What's a good laptop site?

I'm in the market for a new laptop PC computer for the first time in 7 years, during which time I have not been paying attention to new developments. I'm not sure about how to judge new components, processors, memory, etc. Can anyone give me the address of a site or forum that can get me up to speed?

You can probably find reviews on pcworld's or cnet's sites. There is also quite a price range and you didn't say how much you are looking to spend. I am looking for a new one myself and so far I am leaning toward the Toshiba L300-EZ1004X. It has the Intel Centrino Duo Processor Technology, what Intel calls their Core 2 Duo Processor. I think this is the way to go. This model sells for around $750.00. Amd also has a version of this technology. As far as brand, about the only difference I can see is what features you are looking for and for how much. The only other factor would be to research how good each manufactures tech support and customer service is because there are definitely some good and some bad.

I'm getting where I wont deal with companies that farm their customer service and tech support out overseas and I can't understand the person I'm talking to and they can't understand me.

Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong.

I just googled "Laptop

I just googled "Laptop forum" and I got some results with laptop forums. This was exactly the same way I found poi-factory.
