poi loader

Just load the folder that the red light csv file is at.

You are looking for the red-light poi? The poi loader is asking for the folder that the poi is resident in.... In your case it is in "my documents".... Generally you should make a new folder called my pois or something similar and save your pois to that folder....

the poi loader doesn't see the file amongst the other files in "my documents". While windows explore finds the file and opens it with notepad

The "browse to" Where you are asked "Please select directory where data files can be found" In that window you would browse to "my documents" if that is where the red-light.csv file resides and then select "next" poi loader will find the file....

Find the folder that contains your poi.

Put your POI file(s) in their own folder.

Point POI Loader to that folder. Note that in POI Loader you are select the FOLDER not the FILE.
