Thanks...it was fun to do...I've been thinking about doing the same thing for go-kart tracks...I saw quite a few of them listed as I did this last project...I am going to take a break from it for a few days...by then I'll have thought that project through. If I do the go-kart track thing I think that it will be all in one group as there aren't near as many as the dirt stock car tracks.

Sorry i don't speak english very well. i'm from québec (canada). This summer i'm going in ohio at sharon speedway for dirt race and i don't see poi for sharon­.
Also, i don't see can-am speedway in ny state.

If you have the time.... many many many dirt track in Ontario and québec. lol

Tracks are sometimes known by several different names.....some associated with the nearest "big" town where the track is NOT really located.

Thanks for the info...that's the website I used for all of the tracks...I took the various names and plugged them into both Google Earth and Windows live maps to try to find them. If I couldn't find them on Google Earth the Live Maps usually worked out...the satellite pictures were alot better on Live Maps. BUT...Live Maps won't give you lat and lon. so i had to try to match landforms on Google Earth as some of the maps there were terrible...either way sometimes neither map was able to locate a track no matter the name. BTW...you're very right in saying that the track wasn't near the town it was associated with in some cases...the town addresses were only track offices...some of them owning more than one track...just adding to the confusion of finding the tracks...lol.

I've updated the Ohio tracks and posted it here to show Sharon Speedway, I have no idea how that one was missed. Thanks for letting me know! I have also corrected and posted for Can-Am speedway...thanks again! Let me see what I can come up with for dirt tracks in Canada...starting on the east end...lol.

is there anyway possible to take all of the files for this POI and compile them into just one file for downloading?

We could also use a picture for the head page of this POI Package. Does anyone have one we could use that you have taken yourself?

I like the idea of having all these combined into a Top picks file also;)

I'll go ahead and do that, when I setup this project I thought I might also put them in one big file. I'll put them all together then post it.
