Tracks = 100000 pts = how many miles?

Has anyone used tracks and have an idea just how long it takes up 10000 pts are used up. How many miles does it take to = 10000 pts? or how long in time?

I am going on a Amtrak trip that will be at least 4600 miles. And I wonder just how long the track log will last before I have to save to the PC.

I used tracks with my Ique3600, but then all track functions such as editing and saving to file and starting new file were all on the Ique 3600. Didn't need a PC to do this.

It's not obvious what algorithm it uses, but as an example I recorded 907 points on a 60 miles, 1.25hr trip.

At that rate, it wouldn't be very long, would it?

However, did you see this post?

Using the other track log functionality, you can probably record millions of points. Also, they might be better suited to an Amtrak trip, because its raw data, not 'snapped-to-road'.

The conversion software is here:

rolled back to 2.30 but didn't work

I rolled back to software update 2.30 it went successfully. But when I went to the screen to START LOGGING it was greyed out. could not start logging.

So I upgraded back to 3.00

Any Ideas??

Never Mind......

Had to roll back to 2.20 then it worked. START RECORDING worked.

upgraded back to 3.00 works fine

Just hope I don't accidentally hit the stop button!!!!!
