using icons with poi's

I know there is an article on this website on how to use icons with poi's but I can't seem to get it to work. I have a 530. I have all my icons and poi's in one folder in my computer. I renamed the .bmp to match the .csv. The poi's work but not the icon. Is there something I am doing wrong? Thanks

probably not

Have you zoomed in real close? You also may need to be in 2d mode....

Default Icon or None

Are you seeing the default grey circle as an icon for the POI, or are you seeing NO icon?

Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.

Then, as Gary says, you are probably not zoomed in far enough, or you are in 3D mode. You should always be able to see it if you choose the POI from the list under Custom-POIs and then touch the "Map" button.
