Thanks to JM and Miss POI

Just wanted to say thanks again for fueling the GPS fire in me. I've had to update my site and move it over to a forums based package as I was hand coding the site previously and it's grown so fast that hand coding was taking too much of my time, and too much out of me so it wasn't growing as fast as I wanted.

So, again thank you very much and please go see my posting regarding your site (I borrowed your logo so need your approval on that) at:

Nice Site!

Robin,

Nice site and it looks very neat and organized. I never heard of a Mio before? I'll be adding a Garmin 76csx handheld soon to go along wiht my Garmin 2720 streetpilot I bought last year.

I'm getting a nice tax return back but to lazy to do my taxes now.

I bookmarked your site and will check it out once I get some sleep.

Michael

That is very nice of you

That is very nice of you Robin. I love what you have done with your site, once we get a page built for that unit we will have to have a link added to your site straight from it for all the Mio users.

It is nice to have someone on board that knows so much about these units. Whenever a new member joins that has one I always let them know about you and your great site.

We are really happy to have you as a part of our team here at the Poi Factory.

Miss Poi

You and JM both have been so

You and JM both have been so very helpful, and your site sparked my interest in this oddball world of GPS stuff. It goes well with my job as all my field techs are issued Garmin eTrex's for use in mapping cell sites, I just never really looked at them quite the way I do now, until coming to your site. Never geo-cached before coming here either. So, because of your place my life has been improved, I have a new hobby, and a healthy "sport" to participate in with my kids (geocaching).

When I found the Mio in searching for a new GPS unit, I became interested in what else it could do, since it's Windows CE based, and off I go. Now I'm writing custom skins and programs for it and having a blast.

On my site, there will be a VERY firm instruction relating to POI's, and that is we won't discuss them nor share them on my site. All questions regarding POI's will be directed here. Only fair, I'm interested in playing with the Mio and not necessarily the POI files, and you've got that "niche" cornered. It's a good trade off and I hope that both our forums trade off guests as both seem to work very well together.

I'm just very happy that you don't take my site as a "competitor", as I've been all but banned on gpspassions forums for taking my site from hand-tooled html to a forums package, and the guy that runs that see's me as some sort of threat (yeah, right, he's got 100,000 subs and I've got 12 whole members, really impressive...lol). Anyway, I wouldn't do anything to place my position here in your forums at stake, so please know that any POI related stuff will be directed your way. I'm concentrating solely on the Mio.
