iMac CSV - file won't open

Any hints? I saved a poi file as CSV in excel for iMac... When open the poi loader, then browse to find the file, it won't show as "highlited" so i can open and begin the install.. Am i saving it as proper csv file?

You are being asked to point to the folder in which the csv resides, not the file itself.

Are you using the beta version of POI Loader? Without it, you will not be able to run it in manual mode.

dont think it's a beta

dont think it's a beta version... garmin loader tells me no compatible files exist. has to be in the saved format...but cant figure it out

Point to the folder?

Is the CSV file in a folder? Did you try pointing the loader to the folder only and picking that?

started from scratch,

started from scratch, created a new folder and put only this file in it... Got a "successfully loaded poi's" ... looks like it worked.. thanks for the help! Now just have to learn how to get the icons loaded and assigned..

icons are easy

Icons you just stick in the same folder with the POI folder and rename them so they have the same name as the POI you want to associate it with.

So for example, if you have Starbucks.csv then for the icon it would be Starbucks.bmp in the same folder. The loader will automatically link them together in the unit.
