Garmin web site now lets you see City Navigator 2009

Greetings,

I scanned the recent Subjects and don't think this has been said at POI Factory yet.

The Mapsource map viewer with City Navigator 2009 is now available on the Garmin web site. Maybe now we'll have fewer folks needing to ask if "such and such" a road was added to the 2009 maps. Boy, wouldn't it even be nicer if the map viewer also let us scan for the map's POIs. As I've said earlier, the 2009 City Navigator has added recent POIs (retaurants and the like) in my area and also now includes speed limit info much more often than the 2008 Interstate-only info for folks with nuvis whose units can display speed limits.

If it's not too long of a URL, here's a quick link to it:

http://www8.garmin.com:80/cgi-bin/mapgen/webmap.cgi?p=212992...

Thanks for the information.

Thanks for the information.

Still Missing

Just checked the map out in my area and its still not correct. I've sent in several correction over the 2 years. Also some new additions. I know it takes times, wait and see if the next one is improved.

Verufication needed?

I *think* (hear say mind you) that the mapping companies investigate changes before adding them to the maps, at least I assume so with corrections not coming from official sources. So your corrections you sent in may be waiting in a list of corrections to be investigated.

Cheers,
PT

None of the corrections I have submitted are included either

Don't know why I bother.

P.S. I submit corrections to Navteq.
