Speed Camera Truck

If you happen to be traveling through Chicago this summer what your speed on the Edens Expressway I 94 towards Milwaukee. They have deployed a Speed Camera Truck and with in the first hour 334 speed infractions was recorded. I am posting this for a two fold reason. First and foremost we need to reduce speed in construction zones because the lives of the workers is paramount. They are hard working men and women who need us to give then a break. second is the ticket. SO slow down in the construction zones and save a life and a ticket.

In our area the speed vans are being challenged in court on the grounds that they don't hold a private investigator license. Seems that taking pictures of speeders and sending across state line is somehow illegal.

Van, cars, tripod mounted cameras are going no place fast.

You may as well get use to them, Cities have found a cash cow in these cameras, don't count on them going anywhere fast. As a matter of fact you can count on nothing more than them double or triple in numbers in the very near future. Just look at the size of the red light camera file size, and watch it grow..
