Revision of red light camera's

How frequent does this site update the red light camera database?

Where does the information come from?

Red Light Updates

Hi,

Anyone can give Miss POI the new light location and she updates the list every Wednesday.

Welcome and regards,

The 80,000 members have compiled the list. There are usually announcements in local papers of intended installations and as soon as they are activated, someone will notify Miss POI. Occasionally, she will ask for volunteers in a given area to check out specific cameras to make sure the coordinates are accurate in the file, and that the camera(s) are still active -- according to signs. It is very infrequent that she asks anyone to run a light to test it. rolleyes

Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.

LOL

Funny.

You know I'm surprised we're able to use our GPS devices to 'detect' red light cameras. I'm surprised it's not illegal. Not that I'm complaining. smile

Now if only we could hack the GPS units so they can trigger those emergency services devices on the street lights - Just THINK of how much more fun and quick driving at night would be when no else is around. smile

Wait a minute... who am I here?

It's a good thing that no testing is needed

The Custom POI file alerts you to their presence. It does not "detect" them.
