I also looked at best buy because they price match and they said that price was so ridiculously low that they could not even attempt to match it. They told me the best they could do was $354.75 because they paid $350 for it.

Check out Buy.com. They have the c550 a refurb. for $179 with free shipping. May not be in stock all the time just keep looking. I got another $50 off for signing up for a credit card, $129 and it works great. Got mine in February of this year 2008

The c550 is a great unit. I have a c530, same unit but no text to speech. The longer I own it the more I wish it had the newer thin case. Being able to slip it into a pocket would be so handy.

I bought a C550 from compbizusa.com week of May 5th for $208 shipping included, but the $240 from Wal-mart with 3 year warranty would have been my preference.

I got mine on Tuesday. $229 with tax & overnight shipping. First Gps for me. It also quailifies for free 2009 update. However, when I tried to update I got an error html 500. I tried to reload but got "already downloaded free update" notice. Any ideas??? I emailed them about the problem. Waiting to hear back.

This is a great site. I still hae no clue what 1/2 the post are about but trying to learn. Thanks for all the posts.
