Clm.nvm file 516M, can I delete it? Nuvi 780

Hi, I have a two week old Nuvi 780 that has a file named clm.nvm that is 516 megs in size. This is after running scandisk on it as per the Garmin techs.

A failed install of the 2009 maps led to an inadvertant unplugging of the UBS cord. I think that might have scrambled the disc. The clm.nvm file was at that time had a file size of 1.99G. Garmin techs had me run scandisk. That got it down to the 516M. I had to remove voice files and everything else to get the 2009 maps to load properly.

But the Garmin techs admitted that didn't know what that file was and told me to leave it. But I'd love to kill it if I can. Does anyone know what size it ought to be on a 780 with 2009 maps. I want to install POI directly to the device but i've run out of room.

Search

I found the file on my 750 with the 2009 update and it is only 80kb I also Googled the file name it has been discussed on other forums too.

yes i had googled already

yes i had googled already but it wasn't clear whether it is a required file or not. I'm hoping that someone can e-mail me the correct size one from the v2.9 firmware and i'll just try to copy it over my corrupted file.
