Congrats on the purchase! How do you like it so far?
If you haven't already, try the TomTom Forum site - you should find more info about the maps and the 930 over there as well: www.tomtomforums.com
Thanks Mike. So far I love the 930, I had purchased a One v3 but it decided to die on me about a week into using it, so I decided to upgrade to the 930. I guess it's a case of the more you pay the more you get, I'm not saying that the One v3 is a bad gps, the 930 just has alot more. I would recommend it to anyone.
I've looked at the Tomtomforum site...not much there for the 930 but I did find something on the tomtom corporate site under 'support'. I'll check it out when I get home and if it works I'll let you know. The other thing I've found out is that while my 930 is supposed to be pre-loaded with maps of U.S.A., Canada, and Europe, I can only find the U.S.A. and Canada maps...no Europe. I'll look at the settings to see if there is something turned off.
Oh how we learn new things! Turns out the new map update doesn't apply to the 930, the version in my 930 is: 800.1727 and 1915.2mb. The maps for western and central Europe are also installed on my 930...just gotta figure out how to access them! The saga...and fun...continue...LOL.
As an update:
To change maps go to 'Manage Maps' (of course)...then 'Change map' (just too obvious!) Voila! Maps of Europe!
