Remember we have families that have their children involved in the GPS fun and we don't want to make parents feel uncomfortable when their children ask what that word means.

People who have to drive will drive no matter what the price is. I have memories of .29 a gallon and big engine cars, those days are gone.
I remember .29 a gallon gas. I had a 1967 Pontiac 2+2 with 428c.i. V8. The only thing it would run on and not ping was Sunoco 260 (remember Sunoco blended gas pumps?) Shortly after I got it, and the tank was pretty empty, I filled it up. Rather, the full-service gas station attendant filled it up. He dropped his jaw and his eyes went wide as the mechanical pump exceeded the maximum dollar amount it could register - $9.99! He had never seen a car take more gas than that. He started looking under the car to look for leaks in the tank.
Ahhh, the good old days.

Iron Man was cool, kind of slow at first, and a weird ending.
Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Capstian was cool too. But I wish I had waited till it came out on DVD.
Neither one was worth the $$ to see first run. Watching in the the 32" screen would have worked just as fine.

Garage Sale
Having a garage sale this week end. It was 101 yesterday. Too Hot! Suppose to be 98 today, 3 degrees is not an improvement from the heat. One customer so far - 50 cents richer - what a great life. I'm getting paid 50 cents an hour - actually 25 cents since my wife is out here too.
.25/hr thats only if your sale only for one hour. Please don't tell us that your only sale yesterday was for the fan keeping you cool. 101 Oh Man thats a hot one. I hope you had a cooler full of cold one's (bottled water, coke's or beer).
I hope you sold out today, a garage sale is a lot of work especially if you have to hall it back out of the garage.

Yep the good old days, about the same as now only more hecktect now. Remember my 48 Cad. full tank for 3.50 4.00 plus green stamps and free drinking glasses.
