Speed Cameras

I have our speed cameras on my nuvi 360. I get the beep and the warning but I was wondering what the funny numbers are at the end that come up on the screen with the warning. It has something like "Speed Camera 45mph .020kq". Does the .020kq serve any purpose and can I delete that part and resave with no problems. I also just noticed the red light have the same marking. Red Light Camera .020yt... What are they for?

Funny Numbers

Miss POI uses those numbers to identify the red light camera location. If you find an error, you report it to her using that number. The number itself is not necessary, but that field is used to identify the location, so something should be left there.

RE: Funny Numbers

Thanks, I will leave them. I'm a perfectionist and they just bugged me.

another thanks

Thanks too!

I was just looking at it myself and wondered if that wasn't the case. First post I went to (this one) and I found the answer.

Re Funny Numbers

OK, that answers one of my questions, about the weird numbers that show up on the red alert. As long as they are serving some purpose.

I have another similar question - the alert bar for the speed cameras always shows them as 8 kph speed zones. I know we arae cautious folks in Canada, but I don't know of any places with 8 kph speed limits. I have seen this reading in 80 kph zones, 60 kph zones, and I think even in 50 kph zones. No matter what the actual posted speed limit, it always seems to say 8 kph.

Any suggestion, anyone?

8 In Filename?

Is there an "8" in your filename?

8 in file name

Yes, the file is named "8iw-enforcement-cameras". Is that what is giving the strange reading? Does the database itself not know anything about the maximum legal speed at a particular speed camera? Do I need to change something?

That's the problem
