Garmin communicator plugin

If you have been having problems getting the Garmin communicator plugin to be detected on the test page (like I was) and are feeling stupid (like I was) this will help (with both problems 
): On Internet Explorer go to "Tools" and click on "Manage Add-ons" then "Enable or disable add-ons" and you will see your problem. Just enable the plugin, and you will feel a lot better (or maybe even more foolish).

I have the same problem of the test page not recognizing the plugin. I tried looking for it in manage plugins as you suggested, but do not see it.. What am I missing? I'm using IE7
Or I could click on the active X control at the top of the test page.... Duh... I really do feel stupid
