map updates (not enough room on c drive)

iam trying to install my new maps there is not enough room on my c/drive but i have loads of room on my d/drive how can i install on my d/drive.
Move stuff from C: to D:?
If the Garmin software wants to use the C: drive and you can not figure out how to get it to use the D: drive, why not simply offload a bunch of stuff on the C: drive over to the D: drive to free up the room. Certainly there must be a decent number of things on the C: drive that can be moved and do not HAVE to be on the C: drive, right?
