Garmin c550 missing streets

Many members here have had success reporting new roads and streets directly to Navteq, via map reporter. You can also report businesses ie gas stations, restaurants etc that are no longer in business.

Unfortunately, from what I understand maps are updated usually only once a year, usually available in the spring. Considering all that goes into updating the mapping system throughout the US, it's a wonder they get it all done once a year for the entire North American Continent.

From what I understand, it is possible to have the map on the website show correctly. All the data hasn't been incorporated into the software we need to update our gps units. They also support many more things than just Garmin, which is another reason why it takes so long and why they usually only publish one update a year.
Which is way better than every two years that I've read TeleAtlas does.

Here is the reporting site for teleatlas maybe compare the two. I've briefly looked around my area, they seem to be pretty much equal, although Navteq is easier to look at.

Received an email from Navteq. One of my submissions has been resolved. Only took 345 days. Hopefully the other 5 will be resolved shortly and be included in the next map update.

What map version are you using? On my v9 2008 MapSource and on my nuvi 260, the exit interchange you speak of is shown.

The interchange and shopping center are also shown quite clearly on Google Earth.
