While standing at the location that you want the lat/long tap on the car icon on the screen and it will display the lat/long and give you the option to save it in Favorites.

Thanks so much for the info...Will a Nuvi 200 do that? Someone told me only the hiking gps' did that and it threw me off because I want one for the car and hiking.

Since Flaco has a 260, there is probably a good chance that the technique works on a 200 also. It does not work on all Nuvis. With the 660, you just go to WhereTo/Coordinates and your current coordinates show up. Then if you click on a coordinate, you can input a new destination.

200 or 260

bentbiker, either way he will be able to find the coordinates

Your way of going to coordinates also works on the 200 or 260

Depends

To FIND a lat, long. go to the where to and then you may need to scroll to the next screen and it could have a coordinates icon, just put in the coord you want and hit go. then it should take you to that spot, Depending on you model,

Not all GPSr will give you

Not all GPSr will give you Lat/Long

The StreetPilot 3xx and 5xx don't give you the lat and long.

660 nuvi

Tapping the upper left corner icon in the 660 gives you the LAT LONG and sat. positions and sun and a bunch of other stuff if I remember correctly.
