How do I download GPX files and MP3 Files

Hi,

I am a newby to POI Factory and am using a MacBook.

When I try and download GPX file using Foxfire for Mac it labels it as a MPEG file so won't POI loader doesn't see it.

If I use Safari it downloads but stays in the Safari download window but this only allows me to open or remove files.

Also I can't seem to figureout how to download MP3 files.

I have VMWare and if I go through that and use Windows XP and IE 7.0 Everything works as advertised. I can download MP3, and GPX without any problems. I just have transfer everything over to the MAC side.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Should Work

Within Safari, If you right click or ctrl-click the file name at the final download window, are you not given the option of "Download linked file as . . . "? I can only say it works perfectly on my MacBoook Pro running 10.4.11 .

It only shows files that you have download. For connivence it will let you double-click them there to open. If you clear them it just clears them from the downloads window, not the computer. If you click the grey magnifying glass icon to the right of the item it will open the your downloads folder in the finder and select the item.

make sure that the extension is .gpx it should read as a text file. You can right click on the file and select get info there you can set what application will open the file

Maybe...

I find just putting the mp3 files directly onto the Garmin with a finder copy works for me. As for GPX files, I did right a note to help someone in another thread, it's about half way down or so... maybe it will help you.
