Extra icons (dots) at max zoom Nuvi 750

I have favorite poi from a planned trip to Orlando showing up on my home location in Canada around my car icon in max zoom. It looks like my car is surrounded by small black dots. That can't be normal or is it? The Icons are sort of useless anyway since you have to use a stylus to be able to activate them and they don't show shopping centers but one individual store in that ctr.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a cure? (besides getting a different unit)

I have a Nuvi750 also. You might try turning down the MAP DETAIL setting.
You can do this from TOOLS - SETTINGS - MAP page try different settings from MOST to LEAST and see if this doesn't help.

When you zoom in you will find ALL SORTS of stuff on the maps! Just click on one of them and it will tell you what it is. My Nuvi 660 has them all on it as well.

The POIs from Florida
The POIs from Florida disappear when you zoom out to normal . But then they are sort of pointless. You zoom out - you cant see them, zoom in and they are wrong. Better not to have them at all then. The custom ones are OK though. I have sent my question to Garmin but so far had no response. I have a MIO Digiwalker PDA GPS and the Icons are much better displayed. (Should have bought the map updates for it instead of getting this Garmin Nuvi 750). Sort of disappointed in this machine and ready to trade it in. I have reset the nuvi and got rid of the POis for Florida trip at my home location. Will set them again once I'm down there this fall.

Would be nice to have a Garmin POI file compiled of points visited by members of this site. I will try to put something together when I'm down there since I will be attempting to go to most of the tourist traps including the Cape.
