POI Storage Space on c530

You are limited only by physical storage capacity and imagination.
You can store poi's on the garmin "drive" or on SD card(s).

Not sure what the limit is on the physical device, however I have over 23,000 sites on my SD card and there is still plenty of room.

I have my traffic POI's on the Garmin (speed traps and red light) as others have posted that the response time is much faster. All of my other POI's are on my SD card. When I select one, there is a slight delay before they become available.

I have a c530 with a 2GB SD card and I last night POI Loader told me that I have 1,112,980 POI loaded on it and there is still tons of room on the card. One interesting thing is that the more POI I load on the card, the faster my c530 reads them. When I didn't have many POI on the card, it would take a long time for the results to show. As I've added more and more, it doesn't take near as long for the results to show.

Does anyone know how much comes standard with a 2720?

If only I could spend the rest of my life traveling with my GPS. I guess that's called retirement, and that's a long ways off for me.

My obsessive compulsiveness tends to get the best of me. When I see new POI's people put up, I think that I have to have them, so I load them onto my SD card. I guess I figure that with 2 GB's of space, I should be filling it up.

I have a long ways to go as well. Not sure my body will let me work another 30 years though..

I plan to have fun when it gets warmer with the Lighthouse POI I downloaded from this site. The POI's are all new to me and I look forward going to places I was never able to before.

As I mentioned before I am terrible with directions and without my 2720 I would never have gone as many places as I did last year when I went to Boston.

I am currently downloading 85 gigs of pictures to my hard drive. Pictures I took while on vacation last year. They are mostly LH pictures, oceanscapes, wild life, domestic animals, sunsets and a few other things.

I can see I will have to had my GPS as another hobby. I'm looking at getting a Handheld GPS for my geocaching now. Another Toy.
