POI Loader "Ignore" function

Does the POI Loader "Ignore" function, when selected, mean that POI file will not be loaded and will not appear as a Custom POI? Or does it mean that you are not choosing to set an alert for that POI file, but it will still appear?

Ignore

It means that POI-Loader will not include that file in the .gpi file.

Thanks

Thanks for asking and answering. I had always assumed (wrongly again) that it just ignored the setting of an alert for that file. That means I can leave a test folder and file in with the real folders.

Then is there any way to load a file as a Custom POI but not set an alert for it? In other words, do you have to have an alert set for any file you want to view as a Custom POI?

Sure, just don't enter any alert information. Leave the check boxes empty and the file will load just fine and won't have alerts if it doesn't have any built in alerts.

Regular Custom POIs don't alert by default. I load the VAST majority of mine without alerts.

Thanks, I was beginning to suspect that I was doing something wrong. For some reason I assumed that it was like one of those radio button deals where you had to make a choice. In fact, I had in mind that I had tried it without making a choice and it wouldn't work that way for me. I'll have to try it again.
