I am curious why do some old established business not appear as a POI in the Garmin database but some business that have been closed for years appear. My friend has had a restaurant for 20 years and is not in their database but a Pizza business that has closed is still can be pulled up when searching for restaurants in our area. Is there any way to have it added to all GPS databases? How do they get their information? Is there a place you can register your business?

Fill out Garmin's inaccuracy online form
Every time you come accross something that is incorrect you should fill out that online form and send it in. We, the public users, have more up to date information. If I followed there 06 or current map (08), I would drive off a 10 foot cliff everytime I drive home since I live on a divided road that is seperated by trees, a guard rail and a 10 foot elevated East bound lane!
I think Garmin should pay us for every inaccuracy we report! Or give us credits towards purchasing accesories like the next map update!

You got that right - what a detailed form to fill in! In Microsoft Mappoint you can just click on a POI and send in corrected information. Guess that is harder to do with a mobile GPS though.
