skins for my garmin nuvi 660

skins seem to be the big thing now-- from ipods, to blogs, winamp players, and even browsers..
it is at all possible to do it for the nuvi? i believe its possible.. and i apologize if this has been discussed or if i came out to be late on it. but i wish there was a way to rearrange how the 'WHERE TO, VIEW MAP, etc' screen would look.. the blue screen could use a lil warmth or life.

Oh well with a low IQ, exposed to led paint and being an old fart I guess we all can learn something new. Still don't know what he meant by skins. And I statred with a 8088 processor computer.

What all are you including when you say "skins"? Skins can be anything from adhesive vinyl wraps and/or silicone protectors to gui's to splash screens. You mention the blue screen and I'm guessing you mean the standard splash screen. You can substitute your own jpeg for that; a search for splash screen will give you lots of reading material.
Although external protectors have been promised in the past on other sites, I never heard of any being made. Garmin with their multitude of shapes and sizes has made it very difficult for a 3rd party mfg to spend the money for 50 molds.
As Keith stated, you can't customize the gui.
Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.

Now that someone spoke english so an old fart could understand. I know what skins are. I bought some protive cover for my old PDA and put on the screen to protect is I think at some of the office supply stores may have someting to use. I put a carton on my startup screen when you first turn it on.

A carton of screen protectors maybe overly protective.
