How do I find the coordinates for an address?

There are several web sites and software packages that can provide approximate coordinates for a street address in the USA or Canada. This process is often referred to as "geocoding".

* geocoder.ca - shows coordinates for addresses in Canada / USA
* gpsvisualizer.com - shows coordinates for a list of addresses
* batchgeocode.com - shows coordinates for a list of addresses
* terraserver.microsoft.com - shows coordinates for addresses and map locations

Software Packages

* Google Earth - shows coordinates for addresses, cross streets, and map locations
