May I make a suggestion to the users here? I've seen this in some other places and it adds to the user-friendliness of the site.
The suggestion is that each user include their GPS brand/type/model that they are using in their signature block. It let's others in on what GPS units are being used out there and would give other users the chance to communicate with one another on experiences with the various makes and models out there.
Just a suggestion from your old uncle Robin...
Good Suggestion

But it is a bit inconvenient if you have a thread with 18 responses to click every name to determine what device you use.
Maybe Ms POI or JM can figure a way to attach that information to the bottom of our posts so that we do not have to make a signature for it. hint...hint...

Whenever I click on "Reply" to post a new comment, my signature is already in the "Comment" field. If I remove it before typing my comment (as I did with this one), my signature is still added automatically (as I assumed it would be).
So my question is: Why are the signature contents placed in the "Comment" field when you first click on "Reply" to post a new comment?

Same problem for me Buz. I have to select my signature and delete it before I make a reply. Otherwise the signature is repeated in my post and the signature block.

JM is aware of this, I brought this to his attention several weeks ago. Not sure why but each time I hit reply my sig is already typed in. If I leave it there, I get two times the signature. I'm using Firefox, not sure if it's browser related.
Sort of along with this issue, I wonder if we'll ever have either html or bb codes available in our posts? Would make for some extra fun...

Robin,
I am using IE7 and get the sig in my reply box too. So the problem does not appear to be browser related.

OK,
So I put my models in my signature on the account page, for a few days, my sig was added to my post. Now, however, my sig doesnt appear when I start my reply, nor is it added after I post. As you see in this post. OK, now I am a liar. My sig appeared in this post, I wonder why it didnt in others.
