I realize this is by design, but the super-simple and barely configurable interface on the StreetPilot c340 is almost too simple for my taste.
The unit is very intuitive -- anybody can learn how to use it in a matter of minutes -- and it is exactly the unit I would purchase for my wife or daughter.
However, if you have owned other GPS units (e.g. handheld) in the past, or if you are just one of those people who enjoy configuring and/or viewing a large number of settings, this might not be the best unit for you. Don't get me wrong, I really like it, but when I first received it, I was looking forward to spending hours drilling through and learning hundreds of configurable menu options. Unfortunately (for me), there are only about 15 things you can change on the c340, most of which you won't WANT to change, and after about 5 minutes of playing with 3 or 4 settings, there was nothing left to do except go for a drive. How boring!
