nuvi 350 and WAAS

Only had this about a week and loving it. I did notice that WAAS was turned off by default. Is there some reason for this? I know with the older units, having WAAS enabled takes a little more CPU time and can make calculations much slower. With this new nuvi I figured the extra CPU hit would be trivial.

So, is there any reason to disable WAAS when navigating city roads with this model?

I bought C330 recently. WAAS was disabled even in my C330 by default.

I have a nuvi350 and I can't

I have a nuvi350 and I can't tell much difference in speed with WAAS enabled/disabled but it is much more accurate with it enabled.

updated to 4.3 as soon as I got it.

WAAS disabled on default

When I got my c530, the Garmin people said that enabling WAAS was a problem in some areas and also that there is a much higher hit to the battery.

Nuvi and Waas

I thought I read in the manual that it used more power thus draining the battery much faster. It is much more accurate. I did a geocache with my nuvi 360 and couldn't find it, turned on waas and it took me to the spot.

Updated mine to 4.3 as well

Updated mine as soon as I got it at Christmas. I am like everyone else, noticed that WAAS was disabled when I got my unit. I turned it on and accuracy was much better.

I got my c550 and WAAS was disabled also by default, could anybody tell me if it's more accurate than GPS?

It is much more accurate if your unit can "see" the WAAS satalite. accuracy goes from yards to feet with the WAAS enabled. Tap the satalite bars(upper right) and you can see the accuracy the unit thinks it has acchieved.

No Difference

I enabled WAAS on my Nuvi 660 and haven't seen any difference at all.
