All thumbs - uploaded POIs twice and want to remove once

OK, so I'm all thumbs tonight and now I'd like to fix things...

Just bought a Garmin Nuvi 360. Downloaded a speed camera file and a red light camera file and uploaded them to my Nuvi with POI loader. Problem is I did this on my Mac Powerbook G4 trackpad, and accidentally hit the button on the loader twice. Now I've got duplicate listings in the Nuvi (not on the map, just in the POI listings). Any way I can remove one of these? I've been reading about some removal options in the POI Loader for Windows that aren't in the Mac version so that's obviously not an option.

The best way to fix a problem...

...is to out yourself. Somehow I had a feeling that if I asked the question publicly the next thing I'd find was a solution myself.

I hadn't read this anywhere else, and I'm sorry for taking up anyones time in reading this but maybe this can help the next Thumbkin: I now have found that when you upload a new POI file it overwrites the last one. I found this out when uploading a restaurant file, and the Speed and Camera listings were gone. So I simply reloaded the original POI (just once this time) and it overwrote the previous one. I assume to keep adding POI's you just need to keep adding to one folder and it re-uploads all of them again.

That said, how did I end up with the duplicate the first time?

Thank you!

Hi CDaddy,

First, check your POI Folder for duplicates. If you have any duplicate POI's, take them out of that folder. Then, run the POI Loader and choose to "remove all" of the POI files from your Nüvi 360. After the POI's are removed, you'll have to launch the POI Loader again, and this time, just upload your POI's again.

Regards.

Re: All thumbs

Thanks Tailspin:

Based on what I had read previously I had tried to do what you suggest, but on my version of POI Loader (2.0.1) on my Mac I didn't find any options at all. As I'd written, I've figured out that to delete I just needed to re-install the POIs, overwriting the old ones. But I'd certainly like to know where any options are hiding for the next time my thumbs overtake the rest of my fingers...

Use beta version

Download the beta version of POI Loader and your problems will disappear. Suddenly the manual load options will show up as well.
