Is it possible to have POIs always visible?

i have a nuvi 360, and i was wondering if it is possible to always have POIs visible, or if it is possible to have only certain POIs visible? we went on a driving trip this weekend across AZ, and it would be nice to know if there are certain POIs within a few miles of our route, whether they be restaraunts, gas stations, or interesting sites. thanks.
There are only two things
There are only two things that you can do to make them appear (that I can think of)...
1) make them favorites instead of custom pois
2) zoom in at 300ft or more.
