How do I display POI's on my Garmin 750?

Just got the 750... seems to work great no problems with it other than the nearest freeway onramp just got closed 2 months agao and the 750 keeps asking me to take that entrance... other than that it works great

However... a friend has the 650 and his displays the POI's on the map screen. I can not figure out how to set my 750 up to diaplay the POI's on the screen. It will display the location I am traveling to once you get close enough, but it does not display gas stations, restaurants, etc as you drive...

Anyone have the answers???

Re: How Do I Display POI's On My Garmin 750?

Hi lowlife,

You have to be zoomed in to either 300ft. or less (300ft., 200ft., or 120ft., to be able to see the POI icons.

First of all, I see you've been a member for 1 day, so let me say..."Welcome to our family".

There's a wealth of information on the site that can be found, using the "search" box, at the top of every window. We urge all new members to "search the site" for answers, before they post a question. BTW, your question had been answered on this site, many times before.

Anyway, welcome to the site...

Regards.

You also have to have your display set for North Up or Track Up, not 3D.

Hi johnc,

I didn't know about it not working in 3D.

Thanks for the heads-up...
