POI in old Magellan but not in new Garmin

Could someone see if they can locate "Veganopolis" in Portland, OR on their older Garmin maps. It doesn't show on the NT 2008 maps. However I had a friend navigating using his (at least) 2 year old Magellan and it shows up on that.

I do understand that every GPSr does not have every POI but I wonder if it never was on Garmin's maps or got dropped in the newer version. Apparently this is a big place and has been around for while.

Also - does Navteq supply different variations of POIs along with it maps resulting in Garmin and Magellan having different POIs for maps of similar age?

I have seen that happen

I have seen that happen before, actually my coworker's river house was listed as an addy, but with the new update it isn't.

btw, no I didn't find it either on the 2008 mapset.
