From what I know of it, it only works on external power. Bigger screen (5.2 inch),doesn't have bluetooth (not a big deal), doesn't have a currency converter or calculator.
Just not too racy about it only working on external power. It does not have a battery.
well i have it garmin was supprised that i got it.im having a little trouble using some of the fetures (sorry bout the spelling)im tired been trying to set up poi's
I have a 650 and it looks tiny compared to the 5000..Wow it has a big screen...and yes they have added Games to this one...The screen could be read from the back seat...
I made the rounds today to both Best Buy and Circuit City in the Richfield/Edina MN area. Both of them had the Garmin Nuvi 5000 in stock and I tested it quite a bit, at least as much as you can in the store. I tried to get a feel for the multiple destination routing and learn more about other features. I mainly looked at from the perspective of is it a good replacement for my current Garmin StreetPilot 2730. My 2730 has some great features and I really do like the Nuvi line, but they still might be leaving some features out on the Nuvis. I certainly do like the Sirf receiver chips and the bigger screens on the wide Nuvis.
